The role of an Electrical Engineer is indispensable in society as technological advancement and standard of living in a country relies greatly on Electrical energy. Electrical engineering is the backbone of modern technologies and per capita consumption of electricity is considered as an indicator of the socio-economic condition of the nation. Efficient and effective methods of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of power lie on the shoulders of Electrical Engineers. As the non-renewable energy sources are depleting faster and solar energy becomes cheaper, there is huge demand for expert electrical engineers in the job market. Thousands of industries are launched in the last few years in the field of solar energy harvesting. Another important sector - the Automobile industry, also offers promising career opportunity as many of the leading companies are all set to introduce Electric and Hybrid vehicles in the market. Electrical Engineers are also required in construction industry.
