College union election was conducted on 31st August 2019. The primary class representatives were elected by the students of each class in the presence of respective tutors. The student-union panel of 9 members were elected by the student representatives of each class.Mr S Krishnanunni, Staff Advisor (Asst.Prof, Mechanical Engineering Dept.) and other election staffs conducted the election peacefully. Results were declared by Dr. K Vijayakumar, Principal, Thejus Engineering College.
Onam celebration 2019
Thejus Engineering College, Students Union organized the Onam celebration 2019. The celebration was conducted on 6th September 2019 inside the campus. The programmes include Tug of War, Uriyadi, Pookalam competition and other miscellaneous games. The Onam celebration was colourful and students of departments actively participated in all the programmes organized by the union.
College union organized the celebration of 70th year of the Indian Constitution. College celebrated constitution day on 22nd November 2019 from 11.40 am to 12.30 pm. As a part of the celebration, the college union organized an essay writing competition for the students. Many students actively participated and prizes distributed to the winners
Violence against women
College union organized the celebration of International Day to eliminate violence against women on 25th November 2019. College union proposed programmes like the distribution of orange colour ribbon, placing board and collecting the signature to support the women's thoughts. Students actively supported the movement.
Tobacco free campus
Ministry of Higher Education instructed educational institutions to conduct a pledge ceremony on the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji against the tremendous increase in tobacco products by the children/younger generation. Thejus Engineering College, Students Union organized the pledge ceremony on 16th January 2020 at 11.00 am. The principal delivered the pledge to the gathering. More than 500 students participated in the programme. The Director of the institution, all the heads of departments and faculties also joined this initiative.
Professional Student Summit
Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP), Kerala and Higher Education Department, Government of Kerala organized the second edition of Professional Student Summit on 15th February 2020 at CUSAT, Kalamassery. Ten students from Thejus Engineering College was selected to participate the event and the responsibility was given to the students union.
Mother tongue day
For highlighting the linguistic diversity of our country, AICTE requested to encourage the usage of our mother tongue and celebrate international mother tongue day in educational institutions. The students union scheduled various programs for students and staff on 5th and 6th March 2020. The programmes include Sahithya Quiz, Vayanamalsaram, Samvadham , Malayalam Upanyasa rajana, Vivarthanam, Aksharakeli, Adikurippu Malsaram, Book fest, Pusthakasvadhanam and Cinema Niroopanam. Many students and faculties participated in the events and grabbed the prizes.
Sweet memories programme
The sweet memories programme was a scrapbook creation where memories of the last ten years can be brought. The programme was intended for students to submit writings, poems, videos and photos to the union on or before 15th August 2020
The JINGALALA programme was to shoot and send some of the superstar moments. The highest-liked posts will be the winners. The date of declaring the winners was on 7th April 2020.
